Contract Position
Location: Cape Town / Remote (Hybrid depending on operational requirements)

Global Medical Safety and Risk Solutions (GMSRS) is seeking a professional and highly organised Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Coordinator to support our operational teams and project sites.
The successful candidate will play a key role in coordinating emergency responses, supporting remote site-based medical personnel, and assisting clients with operational queries and incident management.
Our Emergency Operations Centre supports both local and international remote project sites, providing coordination for site-based medical services, emergency response, and medical evacuation operations.
This position will operate on a contract basis and may involve shift-based work and standby availability depending on operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and coordinate emergency calls and incident reports from project sites
- Support project medics during incidents and emergency responses
- Coordinate and liaise with external service providers including ambulance services, aviation providers, rescue services, and medical facilities
- Provide operational support to clients for site-related queries or emerging incidents
- Maintain clear and professional communication with internal teams, clients, and service providers
- Monitor operational activities and ensure incidents are accurately logged and tracked
- Maintain incident reports and operational records
- Escalate incidents in accordance with established operational procedures
- Assist with shift-based monitoring and operational standby when required
Minimum Requirements
Minimum First Aid Level 3 certification (Higher medical qualification advantageous)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Ability to work shift-based schedules when required
- Ability to work remotely when required
Advantageous Experience
- Previous experience in Emergency Dispatch, Call Taking, or Operations Coordination
- Experience in EMS, Search & Rescue, Security Operations Centres, or Incident Management
- Experience supporting remote or offshore operations
- Familiarity with incident management systems or dispatch platforms
- Additional languages advantageous
