We are seeking Part-Time / Adhoc Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Coordinators to join our growing operations team. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in emergency services, dispatch, operations centres, incident management, aviation, maritime, rescue, security, or other time-critical operational environments who are looking for flexible work supporting emergency response operations.
Our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) provides 24/7 operational support to remote and high-risk projects, coordinating site-based medical services, emergency response, rescue resources, and medical evacuations both locally and internationally.
About this Role
As an Emergency Operations Centre Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting field personnel, coordinating emergency resources, and ensuring the effective management of incidents from initial notification through to resolution.
Working alongside our operations team, you will assist in coordinating medical responses, evacuations, rescue resources, client communications, and operational support for projects operating across a wide range of industries and environments.
Key Responsibilities
As an Emergency Operations Centre Coordinator, you will:
- Receive, assess, and coordinate emergency calls and incident notifications from project sites and clients.
- Support onsite medical teams during incidents and emergency responses.
- Coordinate ambulance services, aviation resources, rescue teams, hospitals, security services, and other emergency response partners.
- Provide operational support to clients during emergency incidents and operational disruptions.
- Monitor ongoing incidents and ensure appropriate escalation where required.
- Maintain effective communication with clients, operational personnel, and external stakeholders.
- Accurately record incidents, operational activities, and communications within company systems.
- Assist with operational monitoring, resource allocation, and situational awareness during assigned shifts.
- Participate in standby duties and emergency activations when required.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants should have:
- Experience working in an emergency services, operations, dispatch, control room, incident management, or other time-critical operational environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel).
- The ability to remain calm, professional, and make sound decisions under pressure.
- A reliable internet connection suitable for remote work when required.
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with operational teams.
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive operational information responsibly.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
The following will be considered advantageous:
- First Aid Level 3 or higher medical qualification.
- Experience within Emergency Medical Services (EMS), rescue, fire services, law enforcement, military, maritime, aviation, offshore, or security operations.
- Previous experience in an Emergency Operations Centre (EOC), Emergency Communications Centre (ECC), dispatch centre, control room, or incident management role.
- Experience coordinating emergency response resources, medical evacuations, or multi-agency incidents.
- Familiarity with incident management software, GIS mapping systems, CAD (Computer Aided Dispatch) systems, operational tracking platforms, or radio communications.
- Additional language proficiency.
